The shoulder has a wide range of movement and is subjected
to considerable force at times which can make it prone
to injury. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint supported
by ligaments and the rotator cuff. The rotator cuff
is a group of four muscles that support the shoulder
and guide the bones of the shoulder, by directing the
force produced by the larger muscles. In order to work
properly the shoulder must have balanced function of
the muscles and ligaments around the joint.
Our therapists specialize in treating shoulder injuries
and problems and can evaluate the motion and strength
of the shoulder and will provide specific tests to determine
the source of your problem. |
